Welcome to Grand Mission Donuts & Bakery, a delightful gem nestled in the heart of San Francisco at 2195 Mission St. This charming donut shop is a haven for anyone with a sweet tooth and a passion for baked goods. With a humble yet inviting atmosphere, it’s not just a bakery; it's a cornerstone of the community where locals come together to indulge in some of the best pastries the city has to offer.

As you step inside, you’re greeted by the enchanting aroma of freshly baked donuts and the warm, friendly smiles of the owners. The vibrant red and yellow canopy invites patrons to take a moment to relish in the comforting ambiance that surrounds you. The shop stands out not just for its delightful offerings, but for the genuine connection forged between the staff and their valued customers—a true neighborhood bakery experience.

Grand Mission specializes in a broad selection of donuts that will whisk you straight to confectionery bliss. The menu features unfilled donuts like the Cake Donut, Old Fashioned, and Glazed Donut, each priced at an extremely reasonable US$1.75. For those seeking a little more decadence, the Apple Fritter and Maple Bar are must-tries, with the fritters earning rave reviews for their scrumptious flavors and fluffy textures. One customer, Real Fresh, proclaimed, "I LOVE ZEE FRITTERS!!" showing just how enchanting these goodies can be.

But it’s not just the donuts that shine here; their selection of croissants and baked buns is equally enticing. Try the light and buttery Cream Cheese Croissant or indulge in a savory Ham & Cheese Croissant for a perfect breakfast companion. Customers have praised the exquisite taste of the pastries, with Glenn raving about the “airy and fluffy” donut holes that are simply irresistible!

It’s important to get here early, as Amanda recommends, to ensure you can snag some of the filled delights before they vanish. Like she put it, “Get there… they run out of filled donuts fast!” The urgency speaks volumes about the shop's popularity and the quality of its offerings. Each visit promises that warm feeling of being part of a community, where patrons become regulars and even friends.

Whether you’re looking for a sweet treat to accompany your morning coffee or a delicious pastry to savor on the go, Grand Mission Donuts & Bakery offers an experience that transcends mere indulgence. This quaint donut shop truly caters to the soul, serving not only glorious pastries but also a slice of the local culture of San Francisco. Always a good place for coffee and donas, since I remember back in the 90s.

Had a ham and cheese pastry and got my kids chocolate glaze. Also got myself some doughnut holes because... It's vacation right?!?! The doughnut holes were the best I've ever had. I've never put something so airy and fluffy in my mouth. Price was also great after a week of high SF prices. You will love this place. I sure did. No frills but all the best flavors!

I loved it!! Very SCRUMPTIOUS!! Had me one of the best apple fritters ever. I LOVE ZEE FRITTERS!! This lil'donut shop even carries already made sandwiches. So instead of making a sandwich for lunch you can pick one up here before work. They make a variety of them here like a B.L.T, or a Tuna sandwich. All bread, pastries, donuts and coffee served very fresh. It's also THE favorite place of mine to quickly pick up a hot cup of columbian coffee and a strawberry doughnut on the way home in the morning. But best of all are the freshly baked rolls they make here that are so soft and amazing. Ill grab a half dozen before going home as well so I can have fresh bread rolls for lunch and saving a couple for dinner is a perfect delight.

A bakery selling a variety of Western baked goods like donuts and dinner loaves. I really like their pre-made sandwiches. If you're buying less than $10, it's cash only.

A true neighborhood cafe - this means friendly service where the owner recognizes the patrons and genuinely asks about their day; loved the glazed donut, and the drip coffee; I went here after tennis at Delores Park . I like the red and yellow canopy with white lettering! Cafe is cozzy , well lit, clean, well maintained. Wonderful murals near this cafe. Great owner / manager ; also loved the effigies of Cambodian gods inside this place.

Went here to pick up treats to bring to work and was so presently surprised! The Chinese couple running the store seemed very kind and hard working. The donuts were still warm when I got them at 8am. I picked out 3 huge glazed/sugar/chocolate covered donuts, two small cake donuts with toppings, and an almond croissant. The glazed and sugar covered yeast donuts were by far the winners. They were impossibly soft and fluffy, perfect amount of sweetness, and perhaps a bit oily but somehow in an enjoyable way. They are donuts after all, which by definition is dough fried in oil. Cake donut was very soft and cakey inside and almost crispy outside with a thick coating. Almond croissant was decent, but wouldn’t get it again. Still giving this place 5 stars because the big donuts were sooo good and all that was $7.25 which is an absolute steal.
